The cottages are extremely private and there is a special 'feel' about Alkira,
many people have commented on it over the years. Certainly they are very comfortable
and the views are spectacular but it's more than that. The ambience goes beyond these
tangible things, there is a under-lying feeling of peace and wellbeing, nature and
sympathetic land management have created a very special hideaway, a place to enjoy some quality time together.
Each cottage has its own, private garden spa, located in a gazebo and set in a fragrant,
landscaped garden, making them usable right throughout the year. There is no finer experience
than a hot steaming spa, on a brilliantly moonlit, cold, frosty night.
It is a delight to luxuriate in front of the large, open hearth fireplace and the visitors
book is full of generous comments about the ambience of the cottages. As each cottage has its
own, well equipped kitchen, there is no need to venture out at all. |
